Inception
Inception
is an action and science-fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan,
which was released in 2010, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Dominic
Cobb, Ellen Page as Ariane, Marion Cotillard as Mallorie Cobb and
Cillian Murphy as Robert Michael Fischer Junior. It deals with
Dominic Cobb, an extractor (that is to say, someone who infiltrates people's
dreams in order to get an information in particular out of them), who
goes into exile so as to flee the police. Cobb's wife, Mallorie, has
been found dead and some proofs make the police thinks Cobb is
guilty, that's why he is sought. Saito (Ken Watanabe), who is a
businessman and who knows him because Cobb previously visited his
subconscious, tells him that he will delete those accusations on condition that Cobb
agrees to perform an '' inception '' on Robert Michael Fischer
Junior, owing to his father, Maurice Fischer (Pete Postlethwaite)
who is dying and, consequently, is going to pass along his business
to his son. Saito would like, by the way of the inception (implanting an idea in somebody's subconscious through his
dreams), that Fischer Junior let his father's business (which
competes with Saito's one) down in order to create his own company,
despite his father's one is very successful. Cobb accepts, since he
wants to come back home in Los Angeles where he left his two
children, Philippa and James, with his parents-in-law. What's more, he would like this mission to be the last one and to stop his carreer. Then, Cobb will gather his team made up of his usual colleagues (except for Ariane) and they'll go on adventures where reality and dream are hardly differentiable.

Lord of the Flies

The title is referring to the emblem of Jack's group : the head of a wild pig drove into a stick, which attracts a lot of flies since it is dead.

Just One Look

Lettuce be friends ! (haha haha... ok)
- So, in order to introduce myself, my name is Chloe, I'm sixteen so I'm in the 11th grade and this thing is for English Literature. For this class, I have to create a blog where I have to tell about any kind of work of art, like for example books, films, music, or paintings.
- I probably won't talk about the last one, not that I hate PAINTINGS but because I don't like the way painters of our generation represent things, sometimes it's just two features and several colors mixed together and I don't really think this is art 'cause it don't represent anything in particular so I don't understand how people can seriously buy those things ten thousand pounds or more and put them in their living room.
- Anyway, let's talk about something interesting : BOOKS. For me, books are more than something boring you have to read for school because you are going to have a test on it. Books are a way to escape from reality, from your daily-life. When you read a book you automatically create a film in your head, which is actually great because it can surprise you and make you feel as if you are living or witnessing the scenes you are reading, especially when the scenes describe something which can not happen in reality because it forces you to picture it in your mind. Moreover, there are plenty of books which can please you because there are so many genres and so many authors that you can't say '' I hate books, all of them '', because it means you had only read the boring books gave by your teachers and, as a result, you are just boring as well.
- To move on, let's talk about something I also like : FILMS. My favourite films are definitely Horror films. In my opinion, they are really entertaining but only if I watch them with other persons so as a consequence it makes me laugh and not pee in my pants. Wow that was awkward.. but I also like to watch others types of films, like for instance the last good movie I saw was Dark Shadows I think, I really liked that film since it was pleasant and quite funny. On the other hand, I don't often go to the pictures so when I do I don't watch crappy films like Project X (it's just my opinion, please don't slap me).
- Finally, MUSIC is for me, and for everybody I suppose, an important thing because I listen to it everyday, it changes my mood in a good or in a bad way and furthermore, there are lots of great artists who can really change your day by listening to their voices (not the ones changed with autotune but the real ones), make you smile, give you gooseflesh and I think it's fantastic.
Have a good day ! xoxo
